Opera Assistant Director

After 15 years working in Artist Development, Publicity, Marketing and Sales and Distribution for International Music Industry giants like Capitol, MCA, Geffen, IRS, Motown Records, and the Universal Music Group, Ms. Vignola left a successful career to study Voice and Opera full time at the Purchase Conservatory of Music. In 1998 upon receiving her BM in Voice and Opera Studies, she was awarded a scholarship to study in Florence, Italy with world renowned tenor, Franco Corelli.  Shortly after, the Conservatory of Music hired Jacque Trussel as Director of Opera Performance/Vocal Studies, Ms. Vignola was so excited by his new ideas, she offered her vast administrative experience to help him build this new and innovative program.

 

For over 20 years she has served as the Assistant Director of the multi award winning Purchase Opera and assisted in leading it to numerous national award-winning productions. A published author, she and Professor Trussel collaborated to write the libretto for Raphael Lucas’ Confession, the prequel to Puccini’s Suor Angelica. The Opera went on the win National Opera Association’s Best Chamber Production and was recorded by Albany Records.
